Pamporovo Central VIP Residence

More then 20 million levs has been invested from Pamporovo AD, for new six chairs lift in Pamporovo, and two sloops with length of 7 km, the chair lift connect village Stoikite and peak Snejanka in Pamporovo resort. On 7th of December was the official opening of the new ski facilities and the starting of the ski season of the ski resort in the Rodopian Mountain – Pamporovo “This lift is the biggest investment in the sport/ski infrastructure for now in the resort” said on the ceremony the major of Smolyan Dora Yankova.

The extending of the ski season in direction village Stoikite vastly will improve the ability and capacity of Pamporovo on the Bulgarian market. With the letting in the new equipment creating convenience of the tourists, using the hotels in Stoikite, Shiroka Laka, Gela, Solitza etc..

The new chair lift is on the French company “Pomagalski” and is with total length of 2992 meter its capacity is 2400 people per hour, and the whole distance is passing for 10 minuets with average speed 6 meter/ second. The chairs are covered with special helmet protecting from the wind and snow. The developed connections between the ski stations provides continuously care and observation on the chair lift and the slope. There is also fitted and generator which protect of stopping the lift if there is unexpectedly disconnection of the electricity.


The chair lift services two new slopes for advanced skiers, as each of then is with length of 3,5km, they are places on the North Slope, which will help on the snow to keep longer on the tracks and practically will prolong the season.
“Pamporovo” AD plans more new investment in ski equipments and facilities, modernization and extension of the infrastructure in the resort, one of their future projects is a chair lift between village Stoikite and the future sport tourist centre “Super Perelik”
