Регионалното министерство обяви открита тръжна процедура за "Изграждане на граничен преход – площадкова инфраструктура и монтажни сгради и довеждаща инфраструктура – с функция на вътрешна за ЕС граница на Република България, лот 1 Ивайловград – Кипринос и лот 2 Златоград – Термес". Срокът за купуване на документи изтича на 12 юни, оферти се подават до 22 юни, те ще бъдат отворени на 23 юни от 11 часа. Изпълнителят трябва да завърши проекта до 23 октомври 2009 г. Според обявата за обществената поръчка финансирането е от бюджета на Министерството на регионалното развитие и благоустройството. Според заместник-министъра на регионалното развитие и благоустройството Димчо Михалевски след тръжните процедури цената на строителството и проектирането на всеки от двата пункта може да достигне до 1 млн. лева. Предварително бяха заложени по 1.5 млн. лева на граничен преход.

More then 20 million levs has been invested from Pamporovo AD, for new six chairs lift in Pamporovo, and two sloops with length of 7 km, the chair lift connect village Stoikite and peak Snejanka in Pamporovo resort. On 7th of December was the official opening of the new ski facilities and the starting of the ski season of the ski resort in the Rodopian Mountain – Pamporovo “This lift is the biggest investment in the sport/ski infrastructure for now in the resort” said on the ceremony the major of Smolyan Dora Yankova.

A modern, four person chairlift, will start functioning in Chepelare by mid-December, Horemag reported. The new facility will replace an older one that has been functioning for the past 30 years.

Investments for road infrastructure improvement in the Rhodope cross-border region top BGN 90 million.

Bulgaria’s deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Dimcho Mihalevski and Entechnos – Bulgaria/Greece CEO Christos Stilianidis signed contract for partial reconstruction of the Sokolovtsi-Smolyan-Srednogotsi state road. The contract was singed in the town f Smolyan. The project is funded under the PHARE Cross-Border Cooperation Program Bulgaria – Greece. It is estimated at EUR 10 632 116, 40. The first sod of road’s intercept was turned by Minister of regional Development and Public Works Asen Gagauzov.

A new ski resort for over EUR 50 M will be build close to the town of Chepelare in peak Mechi Chal. The project will be realized in three stages for a period of 5 years. The total value of the investments is expected to be more than EUR 50 million as over EUR 15 million will be invested in facilities only.
The first sod of the new resort has been turned on Saturday during a formal ceremony, which was attended by the Deputy PM Meglena Plugchieva, the Minister of Culture Stefan Danailov, the Economy Minister Petar Dimitrov, and the Director of the State Forestry Agency Stefan Yurukov.

The negotiations between the strategic investors of the “Perelik” sport & tourism centre have now ended, announced the mayor of Smolyan Dora Yankova. According to her, the project contract between the municipality and the future investor of the complex is about to be discussed with the municipal council. When the contract is approved, the counselors will discuss the proposed establishment contract for the infrastructure of the “Perelik” Sport & Tourism Centre.

Pamporovo AD planning construction of a new gondola lift and a holiday village for BGN 100m. the company plans extension of the ski zone of the same name Rodopi resort in the district of Stoykite village. The main shareholder in Pamporovo AD is CSIF. The investment is for BGN 13m. the gondola lift facility is 2.9 km, its capacity is 2,000 persons per hour. The facility will serve two new runways for advanced and beginners – red and blue of total length of 7 km that will be completed for the winter ski season 2008/2009. about BGN 3,5m will be invested in leveling and landscaping of the new ski runways.
